About Us

Lisa Of How Sweet it is Desserts

I started baking for friends and family. After realizing how much I enjoyed sharing my creations with others, I started How Sweet It Is as a side business. I worked in the restaurant industry for more than 10 years, including being a manager and an Event Coordinator. A year after my first son was born, I decided to become a stay at home mom. We now have two boys and I feel my title has changed to “personal assistant” to two tiny humans. I am a self-taught baker, and my husband and sons are my critics, they help me perfect recipes as well as give me inspiration for new desserts.

We use only fresh ingredients and all desserts are made to order.

I have a food handlers certificate and operate an in home bakery in accordance with the Texas Cottage Food Laws.​

Convenient Delivery

We are located in the Dallas Area, and will deliver to your home or event venue for a small fee.
